Clergy Vacancy - Vicar

St. Mark's began an interregnum (the period between the departure of the Vicar and the Induction of a new one) once Tony Ford began his retirement on Sunday 12th April 2026.

The PCC then set about producing a Parish Profile, the document on which a prospective applicant will base their decision to take the application further.

The Parish Profile provides an overiew of our parish and includes:

information on the surrounding area and local community,
our Worship Services, traditions, prayer life and church governance,
the challenges we face along with our hopes and aspirations for the future,
details of the vicarage to be provided for the new Vicar and importantly
what specific skills, gifts, characteristics and beliefs of the person of God we are seeking to lead St. Mark's forward.

The vacancy is now advertised on both the Diocesan and Church of England Pathways web sites. The closing date for applications of 12th June 2026.
